John was born June 2, 1948, to Thomas and Laura Battreall Hightower in DeValls Bluff, Ark. He was a graduate of DeValls Bluff High School and retired as a Warehouse Manager from Producer’s Rice Mill. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting fishing and trapping.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister; and a son-in-law, Jay Trebilcock.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Linda Lee Hightower; son, Don (Shannon) Hightower of DeWitt; daughters, Audrey (Clayton) Gordin of Siloam Springs and Amy Trebilcock of Jonesboro; brother, Ray Hightower of Houston; sister, Georgia Nell Wells of Stuttgart; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in DeValls Bluff Cemetery.
