Shelby Lumsden Clark

Newark - Shelby Lumsden Clark, age 79, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 16, 2017 after a long battle with COPD and Depression. She was a devoted mother to her son Ken who worked hard as a single mother to support him. Shelby retired as a secretary from the DuPont Company after almost 30 years of dedicated service. She loved to be at the beach especially when she was crabbing and fishing with her sister Sue. Shelby enjoyed taking care of her home and gardening and tending to her yard.
Shelby is survived by her son, Ken Clark (Debbie); grandchildren: Chad Clark (Corrie) and Samantha Bannon (Patrick); great granddaughter, Elena Clark; and her sister, Sue Good along with nieces Donna Winkler, Diane Cannon, and nephew Bill Good. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mattie Lumsden.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bible Fellowship Church, 808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702. The family wishes to thank Delaware Hospice for the loving care given to Shelby at Brookdale White Chapel. For directions or to send an online condolence visit www.stranofeeley.com
