Joseph "Joe" D. Morrow, age 78, loving husband of Karren (nee Bell) for 53-1/2 years, was surrounded by his family when he stepped into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Joe was adored by his three daughters: Rachael (Dave) Lambie of Crown Point, Natalie (Keith) Peifer of Fishers, IN and Lia (Bill) Garcia of Bloomington, IN. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Aaron 28, Courtney 22 (David), Ben 20, Paige 19, Nolan 17, Brynn 13, Chloe 9 and one-year-old great-grandson, David IV. Joe was also survived by his brother, James (Martha) Morrow. Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Willis and Julia Morrow. Joe was a member of Living Hope Church, where he loved singing in the choir. During his 37 year career at Merrillville High School, Joe taught Speech and English, and directed over 20 Plays and Revues. He graduated from Charlestown High School in Indiana, and received his B.S. and Masters in Education from Indiana State University. Joe was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE in Crown Point at 10:00 AM with Pastor John Pappas officiating. Interment to follow at City of Crown Point Historic Maplewood Cemetery.
