Ms. Marilyn Kay Sain, 59, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2010, surrounded by her family, after a 14-year battle with cancer. Marilyn was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on May 27, 1951 to the late David and Caroline Traub. She is survived by her two daughters, Ashley Kablan and her husband, Jay; Amanda Sain and boyfriend Mike Piasecki; and sisters Sheila (Dan) Linder and Connie (Grant) Ihrke'; sister-in-law, Bobbie (Mac) Owen, and mother-in-law Margie Sain; two nieces Shannon Scharmer and Kaleigh Owen.

Marilyn graduated from McConnel Airline School and was a Flight Attendant for Overseas National Airways for five years. She was then employed by Greenline Corporation and for the last 24 1/2 years has been employed by Royal Insurance/Arrowpoint Capital. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Marilyn was a very giving and caring lady, who always put her two daughters first in her life. She was loved very much by all of her family, friends, and especially her co-workers at Royal Insurance/Arrowpoint Capital. She loved baking, cooking, and vacationing with her family. She will be most remembered for being a very devoted mom to her two daughters, who were the love of her life, and her number one priority. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Gary Frenette who took such wonderful care of Marilyn while she was being treated for her cancer. We also want to thank Dr. Benjamin Bringardner and the Charlotte Hospital Palliative Care Staff, especially Carleen, Terri, Lindsay, and Janine. The staff at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House whose loving care over the past few days, has exceeded the family's expectations.
