She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Toms River before moving to South Toms River in 1988. Elaine worked at Lakehurst Naval Air Center as a Librarian. She later went on to work as a Food Demonstrator at BJ's in Toms River.
Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband James A. Scott in 2010. She is survived by her son Christopher Oshaughnessy and his wife Janice of South Toms River; her stepson Thomas Scott and his wife Denise of Brookneal, VA; her two daughters: Kim Leary and her husband Michael of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Jennifer Trainer and her husband Frank of Angier, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Thomas, Sean, Anna Marie, Michael, Brittany, Keegan, Tristan, Elaine, and Ava; and six great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Ethan, Liam, Carson, Breelyn, and Brentley. Elaine's greatest joy was her family and she will be dearly missed by them.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018, at 11AM in the Chapel at NJ Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
