Obituary “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”, Psalm 23:1 Lucille Lorraine Lee Adams was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 7, 1929 to the late William Adams and Eva Keller. She passed away Sunday December 31st, 2017 at her residence. She was a resident in New Albany, Indiana where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Bell; two daughters, Margo A. Parson and Linda “Fuji” Brown; two son-in laws, James Parson and Warland Artis Jr and sister, Margaret Kinnaird. She was employed at Holiday Inn and Lincoln Hills Nursing Home as a supervisor in housekeeping services. She also worked for the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation as a lunch room monitor at Nathaniel Scribner Jr High School until her retirement. In her spare time, she loved to play bingo and travel to Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a great dancer who loved to “Boogie Down” at any family function. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Friend and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was affectionately known as “Mrs. Lucille” and the “Candy Lady”. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Kent S. Brown Sr(LaVette), 1st Sgt(Ret) Chad. A Brown, Jamie D. Bell; six daughters; Gerris “Diane” Artis, Charlotte A. Buchanan, Tamara L. Rickman(Raymond), Robin K. Brown, Stacy S. Bell-Trowell(Jamie) and Lisa D. Bell; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation at Galatian Missionary Baptist Church 2020 Maryland Avenue New Albany, Indiana 47150 on Thursday January 4, 2018 from 4-8pm and Funeral Services Friday January 5, 2018 at 11am.
