In her younger days, she was the lead singer for Joe Cardoza's Band. Emily worked as Bookkeeper for Parsley and Jose Toscano Ford and finished her career at Wolfsens Land and Cattle. She loved to sing in the church choir. She loved to travel and spend time with the love of her life, Lee, at their cabin. She was an avid Giants and 49er fan. Emily belonged to the St. Joseph's Choir, Alter Society and Los Banos Golden Agers.
In her later years, she enjoyed going to the gym every day and having coffee with her lady friends. Emily loved her pets, especially her dog, Max.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Lee, her parents, her sister, Dolores Caropreso and two brothers, George and John Souza.
She is survived by her children, Annamarie (Don) Chasey, Donna (Artie) Mendes, Kenneth (Eric Chen) Baker and Janet Souza; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 5- 7pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Los Banos followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Los Banos.
Burial at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella at 12:30 pm.
Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel.
