JO POWELL, 92, of Mooresville, Ind., and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at Meadow Lakes Nursing Home. Born Aug. 30, 1925 in Camden, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Archie E. and Mary M. (Ward) Hughes. She worked in the medical field at Lutheran Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. She was a former member of the Parkwood Church of God. She is survived by son, Jeff (Leslie) Powell of Mooresville; daughter, Jody (Rick) Willis of Knightstown, Ind.; sister, Ann Rogers or Terre Haute, Ind.; two grandchildren, Chelsea (Kevin) Cook of Bowling Green, Ind. and Zach Stallings of New Port News, Va. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Powell; two sisters and one brother. Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2017 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, with calling from 11 a.m. to time of service. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
