Donald James Burnette, 72 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Galax Nursing and Rehab.

Mr. Burnette was born in Carroll County to the late Edward Lee and Anna Sutphin Burnette.

Survivors include his sisters, Peggy Bowen and Phyllis Taylor; special nephew, Kenny Burnette; special friend, Mark Holcomb; and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
