Curtis, Shannon Marie, of Knoxville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 26, 2015, on her 31st birthday. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She was a loving, caring mother, a devoted wife and wonderful daughter. Shannon was a gentle soul who loved children, animals and growing gardens. Shannon and Michael grew up together and became best friends in 6th grade. When they reconnected six years ago, they both knew that they had found the one. They rejoiced in the miracle birth of their son Zachary. Shannon's family was her life. She loved all her cousins and nieces and nephews. She was a very special aunt to Joshua and Willow. Shannon was to begin nursing classes this fall, which had been a lifetime goal of hers. She is preceded in death by her father and her paternal grandparents. Shannon is survived by her loving husband Michael Craze, sweet loving 20 month old son Zachary A. Craze, mother Kathleen Marie Sliski, sister Sarah Marie West, maternal grandparents Franklin and June Leuthold, nephew Joshua Schurkamp, niece Willow Marie West, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Vanessa Leuthold, Uncle Craig and Aunt Brenda Leuthold, Aunt Beth and Uncle Martin Beautz, cousins Scott and Nicole Beautz, cousins Allen, Andrew, Craig, Bruce, Kimberly, and Michael Leuthold. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 31st, 2015 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 9076 Middlebrook Pike with the Reverend Justin Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., preceding the service. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a children's charity to Grace Lutheran Church.
