Mr. Meadows was born March 26, 1947, in Beckley, W.Va., to Samuel W Meadows and Beryl McKim (Meadows) Davidson.
After school, he enlisted in the Navy, spending two tours in Vietnam. Joe enjoyed the simple life. While living in the North, he enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, fishing or just sitting in the peace and quiet of the woods. He also enjoyed traveling. Joe was a retiree of Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Renee Rupnik Meadows, who survives at home; his daughters Tammy (Jonathan) Lange of Canton, Ga., and Nicole (TJ) Munno of Grayson, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Avery Getz, Madison Getz and Ethan Munno. Joe also leaves his extended family, Bill and Corinne Rupnik of Hermitage and Bob and Shirley Rupnik of Brandon, Miss., along with several nieces and nephews, and his grandpuppy Maggie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Thomas Davidson; sister, Ruth Marstellar; and in-laws, William and June Rupnik.
Any memorial contributions can be made to your house of worship or charity of choice.
At Joe's request, a celebration of life will be held privately with immediate family.
