Richard Earl Stanford, 75, of Tuckerman departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Unity Health/Harris Medical Center.

He was born on October 10, 1942, in Melbourne, Arkansas, the son of Almon Earl and Joy M. (Marsh) Stanford.

Mr. Stanford was a member of Sandhill Church of Christ and enjoyed going fishing, hiking, riding horses, listening to Bluegrass music, going camping and doing leather work.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Lee Stanford.

Mr. Stanford leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Judy Stanford; one son, Kenneth Lee Stanford of Augusta; two daughters, Amy Lynne Phillips and husband Carl of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Melissa Joy Gates and husband Dennis of Tuckerman; one brother, Gary Stanford of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Robert Carl Phillips and wife Tavala stationed in South Korea, Katie Lynne Wall and husband Merritt of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Cody Ray Gates of Tuckerman, and Justin Lee Gates of Tuckerman; great grandchildren, Alyvia Ann Phillips, Isabelle Marie Phillips, Jaxon Carl Phillips, Maxwell Robert Phillips, and Lily Lynne Wall, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 Monday, January 8, 2018, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00.
