Mary Geraldine Pacheco, age 74, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Las Vegas, NM.
Mary Geraldine was born on November 26, 1943 to her parents, Cresencio Martínez and Quierina Quintana in Las Vegas, NM.
A Catholic, Mary Geraldine was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM.
Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend.
Geraldine was a member of the Sociedad del Sagrado Corazon, Director of the Riena de los Cielos Choir and taught for over thirty years in Santa Rosa and Las Vegas City Schools.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Luís Martínez and Vivian Martínez, sister, Mary Jane Santillanes, grandson, Julian Martínez and father of her children, David Pacheco.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Margaret Montaño and her husband, Anthony of Las Vegas, NM, Corrine Martínez and her husband, Elauterio Jr. of La Loma, NM and son, Isidro "Anthony" Pacheco of Las Vegas, NM, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, granddaughter raised as her daughter, Larissa Romero of Las Vegas, NM, sister, Angie Martínez of Rio Rancho, NM, close family friend she raised, Donna Maestas and her husband, Rick of Rio Rancho, NM and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father George V. Salazar as Celebrant. Serving as casket bearers will be David Martínez, Joseph Montaño, Chris Montaño, Larissa Romero, Amanda Martínez, Linda Montaño, Anthony Montaño and Elauterio Martínez Jr. Cremation will take place after services with burial of cremains at a later date at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Sapello, NM.
