She was a 1970 graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Roberts was employed by Quaker State in Oil City and also Reno Mold before relocating in the Raleigh, NC area. She was employed by the Wake County Library in North Carolina until her death.
Her hobbies included reading, gardening, genealogy and interior decorating.
Mrs. Roberts was married May 5, 1972, to Thomas Leroy Roberts, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Amy Roberts of Raleigh, NC; her mother Colleen Ahrens of Oil City; three brothers, James Ahrens, Christopher Ahrens, and Donald P. Ahrens, Jr., all of Oil City; and a sister, Joyce Schattauer of Floyd, VA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald P. Ahrens, Sr.
A memorial service was held Friday, May 14, in Faith Alliance Church, Garner, NC. The family requests memorials be made to the Oil CIty Library or to the American Cancer Society.
