Patricia Lee "Pat" Kimble, 65, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home. Pat was the most empathetic and compassionate person you could ever meet. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her horses, especially Nissan. She also worked as a mare barn manager at a Florida Thoroughbred Farm. Young foals were her forte'. She was happiest growing up with her kitties, baby goats, and pony. Her talents were in animal art, jewelry design, training horses, and teaching herself any skill she wished to study. She attended Rend Lake Community College and SIU Carbondale. She was a multi-talented person. Enjoying photography, oil and water color painting, making jewelry, gardening, reading, target shooting, and watching "Homicide Hunter" on TV.

Pat is survived by her loving sisters, Debra Ann Farris and Valerie Jean Heston; as well as her two nephews, Craig Allen Hays and Brian Garrett Hays; two nieces, Karen Diane Whisenhunt and Susan Elaine Hall. Pat never married and didn’t have children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vauda Francis Kimble and James Walter Kimble; maternal grandparents, Edward and Belva Page; paternal grandparents, Earl and Gretta Kimble; and brother Jerry Wayne Kimble.

"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room" - Excerpt by Harry Scott- Holland.

Although lives are busy and go on, it is just empty on this earth without you. We love you Pat.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Pat's life will take place at a later time and place to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the animal shelter of your choice. That would make Pat smile.
