No Death Date∼Nellie Mae Pankey, born October 23, 1929, went to be with our Lord on May 15, 2018, in Yuba City. A Life long resident of Wheatland and also a long time member of Wheatland Community Fellowship Church of God. She was retired from Sunsweet Growers after working more than 20 years.
She is survived by one sister, and stepsons, four step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Nathan Akers; and second husband, Phil Pankey; her parents, Rev. GC Burns and Nerva Jane Burns; four brothers, Odie Burns, Woodrow Burns, GC Burns and Rev. Ira Burns; and sister, Mary Poppino.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 3:00 pm at the Wheatland CA Cemetery.
