Cindy was born July 10, 1957 in Rantoul, Illinois, the daughter of Rodger and Beverly Stemke Gillenwater. They survive.
Also surviving are her brother, Keith (Yvonne) LaCombe, Normal; two sisters, Michele (Dave) Krueger, Bloomington, and Laura (Tom) Lamberti, Bloomington; five nephews, Joshua (Beth) LaCombe, Brandon Krueger, Jordan Wright, Braden Wright and August Krueger; a niece, Kristen (Matt) Kubsch; two great-nieces, Harper and Addie LaCombe; a great-nephew, Theo Kubsch; her grandma, Nina Gillenwater, Watseka; her beloved dog, Abby and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her natural father, Bertano LaCombe; maternal grandparents, Vincent and Evelyn Stemke and paternal grandfather, OD Gillenwater.
Cindy was an awesome aunt to her nephews and nieces. She was a loving daughter and sister. Some of her hobbies in life were going to garage sales, reading books and going to movies. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching them win the World Series.
She attended Trinity Lutheran Elementary School. She graduated from Normal Community High School and attended Lincoln College. She worked at First Farm Credit Services for many years.
