Graveside service for Lillie Faye Barnes, 81, of Canton, formerly of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point with Rev. Richard Ussery officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Saturday morning, December 30, 2017, at her residence in Canton.
Faye was born August 2, 1936, in Edgewood, the daughter of Herman F. Rohus and Gladis Mae Marion Rohus.
She was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. For nineteen years, she was married to Raymond Barnes. Faye was formerly employed by J.C. Penney in Terrell, Dallas Times Herald and was a bookkeeper for American General Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1993. She lived in Grand Saline prior to moving to Canton in 2003. Faye enjoyed watching T.V., especially game shows. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Gladis Rohus and a sister, Rita Stephens.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Lorie Barnes, of Canton; brother, Herman Rohus, Jr. & wife, Linda, of Grand Saline; four sisters, Dottie Ferris, of Terrell, Linda Ussery & husband, Richard, of Lexington, Kentucky, Brinda Shifflett, of Wills Point and Ruth Savage & husband, Sammy, of Grand Saline; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
