Tommy M. Turner left his life and many loved ones on Monday, January 1, 2018.

Born in Wood County, Texas to Ida Jewel Moore Turner and Tom J. Turner in October, 1926, Tommy was a graduate of the SMU Graduate School of Banking in 1970.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of almost sixty years, Peggy, and is survived by his daughter Tina Boldt (David); and daughter Kay Taherzadeh (Tony). Tommy enjoyed the love and company of five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Tommy met Peggy while both were employed by the First National Bank of Dallas, and he was married to Peggy in Rockwall. Later, they chose to raise their children in Oak Cliff. Over the last thirty years Tommy had resided in Rockwall, and only had recently moved to the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Plano. Tommy was a longtime enthusiast of Gospel music, and was a participating member of quartets throughout much of his adult life.

Despite his many years in Dallas’ banking and business community, he never lost his love for his East Texas roots.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 12:30 in Restland Dallas’s Wildwood Chapel. A visitation will take place at 11:30 in the Chapel on that same morning.
