Lydia Esther Alvarado, 62, of Fort Worth passed away on January, 3, 2018.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Greenwood Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road.

Memorial will be held at 11:30 a.m on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Greenwood Chapel followed by a reception for family and friends at American Legion Hall, 400 West Felix, Fort Worth, TX 76115 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Esther Alvarado was born in Fort Worth, TX to Johnny and Lillie Alvarado on March 21, 1955. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School and raised three boys. Esther touched so many lives with her smile and quick wit. Esther loved her family and friends. She loved to dance and she loved her yard sales. Her life was measured by the impact she had on so many others and she will always be remembered with a smile.

Esther was preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Larry Alvarado.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Thomas (Jennifer), Daniel and John Ledesma; her grandchildren: Brandon, Trew, Anthony, Riley and Kaydence; her siblings: Anna Hunt, Yolanda Hendon, Teresa (Jack) Ransberger, and John David (Edith) Alvarado; her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Barrerra, Mark, and the many wonderful people at Texas Oncology, Dr. Maldonado, Vitas Hospice and her many friends and family who loved, cared for her and supported her through this long battle. Esther was not just a fighter, she was our Wonder Woman.
