Roger Lee Wallace, 79, of Judsonia, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at UAMS. He was born May 5, 1938 in the Worden Community a son of the late Aubrey Glen and Opal (Stone) Wallace. Roger was a former salesman for the Pespi Cola Company and Yarnells Ice Cream. He was a member of the Highway Church of Christ and was an avid coin collector and enjoyed “piddling” in his shop. Mr. Wallace always had a smile on his face and in his heart. He was a very quiet, humble man and was honest to a fault and above all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Wallace; sons, Charles Russell “Rusty” Wallace (Pam) and Jonathan Lee “Jay” Wallace; grandson, Devin Wallace; siblings, Donnie Wallace (Dorthy), Harold Wallace (Mary), Gene Wallace, Ray Wallace (Shirley) and Jimmy Dale Wallace (Dixie); brother-in-law, Johnny James and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary James.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highway Church of Christ in Judsonia. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery
