Marie K. McGuire, 102, of Springfield, died at 11:04 am, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Villa East Health Care in Sherman. She was born December 27, 1915 in Arma, KS to Joe and Queen Ann (Newell) Bean. She married Thomas J. McGuire on April 15, 1939 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1979.
Surviving are three daughters, Sr. Bernadette Marie McGuire O.P. and Sr. Rosemary McGuire O.P., both of Springfield and Patricia Carrothers of Idaho; two sons, Daniel (Sally) McGuire of Decatur and John (Anne) McGuire of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.
Marie was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. She was a homemaker.
Visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church.
Funeral Mass: 10:45 am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church with Reverend Jim Isaacson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
