Jamie Sue(Webster)Lee, 51, of Harrisonville, Missouri died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas, after a valiant battle with cancer. Cremation. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the First Christian Church, Harrisonville with inurnment in Orient Cemetery.
Family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, 2401 E. Mechanic Street, Harrisonville, Missouri. Family suggests contributions may be made to the Jamie Lee Scholarship Fund.

Jamie was born January 6, 1956 in Harrisonville. She graduated from Harrisonville High School. After raising her son and daughter, Travis and Michael Hillmer, she attended Avila University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Education. She earned her Master's degree in Education from WebsterUniversity. In 1995, Jamie joined the Raymore-Peculiar School District and taught at Ray-Pec in third, fifth, and sixth-grade classrooms for the next 12 years. She was a gifted and well-loved teacher. She excelled at teaching the complexities of science and math as well as the simple lessons of honesty, fairness and respect. Jamie has influenced hundreds of young with her passion for learning, her uniquestule of teaching and her genuine interest in their lives and well-being.

On December 23, 200, Jamie married Vance Richard Lee and they spent the last seven years of her life happily pursuing their shared plans and dreans. They loved to travel, and when Vance introduced Jamie to scuba diving a new passion came to life.

When Jamie was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, they fought the fight arm-in-arm. Jamie and Vance faced her illness with intelligence, resourcefulness, resiliency and hope.

Jamie is survived by her husband Vance; her parents, Gracie and Forrest Webster, Harrisonville; sister, Tammie Farr of Harrisonville; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Lisa Hillmer and grandson Jordon Hillmer of Lee's Summit, MO; daughter, Michael Hillmer of Pleasant Hill, MO; stepson and stepdaughter, Amanda Lee and Nicholas Lee of Buckner, MO; and two nephews, Eric Farr of Harrisonville and Jeremy Farr, his fiancee Whitney Mikkelsen and son Tyler Farr, Lee's Summit.

Jamue was a wonderful,caring woman who deeply loved life and the people who made up her world. We will miss her; we are grateful to have known her.
