Dorothy Mae Morris (Abbott) was born on February 22, 1928 in Commerce (Campbell), TX to Ellis & Nanny Abbott. She went to her heavenly home at the age of 89 on January 1, 2018 in OKC. Dorothy married the love of her life James Morris (Jim) on June 6, 1947 in Anadarko, OK. She retired in 2007 from Dillard's in Crossroads Mall where she sold cosmetics for Estee Lauder. Dorothy started her career in cosmetic sales at John A. Browns in the stockyards for Clinique. She loved working in her flower beds and spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by 2 sons, Ronald Morris & wife Rhonda, of Moore & James Morris & wife Sherry, of Round Rock, Texas; daughter-In-law, Debbie Morris of Moore; 7 grandchildren, Larry Morris & wife Stephanie of Sapulpa, OK, Samantha Tritten & husband Roy, of Moore, Shane Morris & wife Nikki, of Moore, Kimberly Morris of Moore, Ryan Morris & wife Tonya, of Austin, Texas, Shannon Schutz & husband Drew, of Denver, Colorado and Mandi Carlson & husband Alan, of Memphis, Tennessee; 17 great-grandchildren, Baylie, Drake, Noah, Austin, Alex, Ethan, Harleigh, Hannah, Zachery, Abigael, Walter, Louisa, Landon, Jadan, Ellie, Jack and Matilda; 4 great great grandchildren, Zoey, Zayne Jackson, and Presley. And many other cherished family members. She was preceded in death by her husband James Morris, son Larry Morris, her parents, 2 brother Dalton & Cloyce Abbott. Services will be 2 p.m., January 5, 2017 at John M Ireland Funeral Home in Moore OK. Interment will follow at Moore City Cemetery, Moore Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
