Willard "Boogie" Clay Cook Sr, age 78 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at NHC in Tullahoma. He was born in Franklin County on August 29, 1939 to the late Steve and Mary Cook Sr. Throughout his career as a sheet metal fabricator, Willard was employed by Stroop's Refrigeration, Ray's Refrigeration, Myer's Heating and Air, Rick Holloway Heating and Air, Daniel's Heating and Air, and Allen Kimbro Heating and Air. He also was a tree surgeon. Willard attended Winchester United Pentecostal Church, and when he was able, he enjoyed fishing and golfing as well as watching WWE and Nascar Racing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jo Cook; and sister, Jewell D. Walden. Willard is survived by his daughter, Donna M. (David Sr) Leggitt of Estill Springs; son, Willard C. (Mary) Cook Jr of Canada, and Eddie Travis (Candy) Cook of Winchester; grandchildren, David (Beth) Leggitt Jr, Peggy M. Leggitt, Monica A. (Alex) Conlon, Veronica M. Cook and John, Willard C. Cook III, Christopher A. Cook, Payton L. Smith, Dillon L.A. (Skyler) Harris, Kyle D.B. (Caitlyn) Harris, Samantha C.B. Smith, Kimberly M. Smith, Lindsey P.Harris, Faith Ann M. Cook, and Kaila M. Cook; great-grandchildren, Steven Clay Leggitt, Allanna O. Denby-Leggitt, Tarence A. Leggitt, Robert F. Leggitt, Kamyiah J.L. Leggitt, Kyleigh A. Harris, Hayden G. Harris, Brycen L. Harris, Matthew R. Smith, and Alexa C.D. Cook; sister, Frances E. Howard of Tullahoma, Mattie M. Witherbee of Alto, Alabama, and Mary Annette Holt of Appleton, Wisconsin; and brothers, Milton "Billy" Cook of Manchester, Steve Carter Cook Jr of Tullahoma, and George "Randall" (Mary) Cook of Tullahoma. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2017 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev.
