Carla Cantrell was born July 1, 1946, in Elk City, OK to Bobby and Joyce Mogg and went to be with the Lord on Dec. 28, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family. Carla married Robert Cantrell on Nov. 29, 1963. Carla spent most of her later years in life in Norman, OK. She retired from FAA in 2007. Robert and Carla then moved to Shawnee in 2008 to be closer to family. She was very involved in Shawnee Bible Church and had many friends there. Her favorite place to be was by the ocean. She loved anything to do with the ocean: whales, shells, coral and tropical fish. She also spent a lot of her time reading. She was loved by many people because of her friendliness and bubbly personality. Carla is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert; daughter, Traci and her husband Mike and grandchildren, Trevor and Samantha; and her mother, Joyce Mogg. She is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be held Jan. 2 at 11 a.m. at Shawnee Bible Church, 2100 E. 45th, Shawnee, OK.
