Leon D. Hamilton, 60, of Dahinda, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2018, at home.

He was born February 5, 1957, in Peoria, the son of Kenneth and Barbara Ann (Tribbett) Hamilton.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth of Brimfield; a son, Jason (Christine) Hamilton of Princeville; a daughter, April (Rich) Scalercio of Coram, New York; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Jeanette Norris of Brimfield and Linda (Chuck) Rickey of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Ruth; and a brother, Jim.

Leon worked as a flooring contractor for many years before retiring. He enjoyed riding Harleys, taking trips, cutting firewood, and watching westerns.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of his life will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at Woppers in Elmwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
