He is survived by his wife Jeanelle, son David, and daughters Hope, Sarah and Kathryn all of Cleburne, TX; parents Katherine and Leon Arendse of Hurst, TX; and brothers Alwin Arendse (Melissa) of Colleyville, TX and Allstaire Arendse of Camp Lejeune, NC; and sisters Leoni Michael (Jeff) of Hurst, TX, Candice Hannah (Brandon) of Worthington, OH and a host of extended family members and friends. Mr. A and his family were members of the Mid Cities Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. A loved God, his wife and family and lived a life of integrity with the goal of reflecting God in every level of life. When he was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer (yet a life long non-smoker) he focused on the goodness of God and how his illness could be used to bring glory to God. Mr. A's memory will live on in the hearts of the countless lives he touched during his career in education, most recently as the Principal of Grand Prairie High School but also in the former districts he had worked for to include Grapevine ISD and White Settlement ISD. Psalm 34:1-3 (1) I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. (2) I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. (3) Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.
