Sarah Isabelle (Miller) Welsh, 86, formerly of the Weinel's Crossroads area of Allegheny Township died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005, in Jefferson Manor Health Care Center, Pink Creek Township, Jefferson County.

She was born July 15, 1918, in Allegheny Township. Mrs. Welsh was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg and the Women's Club of Allegheny Township. Her interests included flower gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles and doing word search.

Survivors include a son, Richard E. Welsh (Wendy) of Cooksburg; a daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Joan) Forte of Falls Church, Va.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Miller of Maryland; and two sisters, Anne E. Lowman of Gilpin and Lois Sadler of Apollo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Welsh, who died on April 22, 1987; a grandson, Todd E. Welsh; her parents, James A. and Florence Myrtle (Ashbaugh) Miller; four brothers, Harold, John, Raymond and Robert Miller; and four sisters, Margaret Miller, Martha Allshouse, Beulah Reifschneider and Ethel Mae Young.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at CLAWSONS, Second at Main, Leechburg, where funeral ceremonies will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin E. Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
