Christopher Lee Nielsen was born July 8, 1978 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Randall and Pamela Lee (Kirk) Nielsen.
In his youth, Chris was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake.
Chris attended school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1997. He continued his education at Iowa State University.
On July 10, 1999, Chris was united in marriage to Tara Struve at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with two children, Hanna and Rilyn.
Chris currently worked for Northwest Concrete in Storm Lake. He previously worked at the Lakeshore and Villager Restaurants in Storm Lake for sixteen years.
Chris enjoyed fishing and golfing. He liked listening and playing music, and was an excellent tambourine player. Most of all, Chris loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
