MRS. J. N. NUTTER DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Lizzie P. Nutter, one of the older settlers of the community, died at her home on north Main street Wednesday morning after many months of sickness. She was aged 74 years to a day. The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church yesterday morning by Rev. Safford, and interment was made beside her husband at Walnut Hill.

Mrs. Nutter, whose maiden name was Lizzie Dye, was born in West Virginia August 6, 1845, and was married to John N. Nutter about 1866. Seven sons and two daughters survive her. One daughter, Mrs. Varner, is a resident of Kingman. Six of the sons live in this state, and all were present at the funeral. One son living in Oklahoma could not come. The father died here seven years ago, since which time Mrs. Nutter lived practically alone at the old home, with the occasional company of young folks of the family. She did not wish to leave the old place, and her wishes were respected. In the last few months she failed rapidly.

Before her marriage she became a member of the Baptist church, and though for many years unable to take any active part in the church work, she kept her membership to the end.
