Martha Cook Owen, 81, of Bradford Heights Health & Rehab Center and formerly of Cadiz Road died at 9:31 a.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Bradford Heights Health & Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. David Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born November 19, 1936 the daughter of the late J. Edward Cook and Lillie M. Blevins Cook. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Marshall Owen; her brother: Robert “Bobby” Cook; a grandchild: Kaler Hamlet; and a great grandchild: Kira Duffy.
Survivors include her sons: Walter M. (Robin) Owen of Memphis, TN and Marshall E. (Tina) Owen of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters: Teresa (Tony) Nance of Hopkinsville, KY and Joy Sanders of Missouri; her brothers: Walter “Sonny” Cook and Roy “Buddy” Cook both of Hopkinsville, KY; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
