Otto Zeller, 97, lifelong resident of Ritzville, Washington, passed on to his heavenly home September 1, 2010. Otto was born August 21, 1913 in Ritzville. He started his working career in construction and then worked in the Ritzville Flour Mill. He went on to work for Adams County Road Department beginning in 1946, retiring as foreman in 1977.

Otto married Alvera Baker December 1, 1961. Otto loved to watch baseball, especially his Seattle Mariners. He enjoyed gardening and liked to share fresh tomatoes with his neighbors. Through the years he provided dill to friends and neighbors for making dill pickles. Otto and Alvera's home was always identified as "the house on the corner with all the dill". After he and Alvera retired they enjoyed many good times fishing and sharing their catch. They had a lot of fishing stories to share as well!

Otto was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Marie Zeller; sisters Baby Annie, Helen Carmack and Pauline Adams; brother Dick Zeller; son Dennis Baker; nephew Bruce Selcho and niece Arlene Plyler.

Otto is survived by his wife Alvera, daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Bob Hamill and daughter Marilyn Baker; grandchildren Kelly Hamill, Wendy White (Dennis), Kurtis Hamill (Joy), Dean Dirks (Indie), Shelly Guske (Lowell), Angela Alteri (Frank), Bill Baker (Terri) and Robert Baker (Katie); 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elsie Shroll and nephew Daniel (Geneva) Shroll. Memorial Services will be held September 10, 2010 at Ritzville Foursquare Church. Inurnment will be at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements with Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville.
