He was born on September 29, 1940 in Franklinville, New York, a son of the late Howard and Irma McCaa Lee.
Douglas attended Amsterdam schools and worked for several years at Power Logistics retiring in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching television, studying genealogy and loved horses. Mr. Lee also loved country music and camping.
He is survived by wife Harriet Kenyon Lee who he married on October 22, 1976, one son Douglas Lee, Jr. (Susan) of Broadalbin, one daughter Philomena Williams (Russell) of Fonda; two brothers Tom Lee (Carol) and Kenneth Lee (Shirley), one sister Rita Clark (Warren), one stepson Randy Loveless (Sue Anne), one sister-in-law Joyce Lee; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Spring interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
