She was married to Clyde H. Long on January 14, 1948 in Queen of Peace Church, Ewing, MO. She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Keokuk, Iowa, in 1944 and worked in nursing in different states where they lived. She worked at the Jefferson County Health Department from 1967-1984. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella Circle #689 since June 1945. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter Wanda Ann (Richard) Slight, Quincy, IL; two sons, Clyde Wayne (Annalee) Long, Hillsboro, MO and Paul Wesley (Christine) Long, De Soto, MO. Two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Lippa, Quincy, IL and Mrs. Donna Berhorst , Canton, MO; sister-in-law Mrs. Sue Raleigh, Fredericksburg, TX; four grandchildren, six step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, thirteen great-step-grandchildren and four great-great step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde H. Long, brother George Raleigh and two sisters, Mary Allison and Isabel Raleigh. Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
