Beverly Ann (Bennett) Ross was born on February 5, 1935, in Wadena, Minnesota, but grew up in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1953. Bev met Jerry Ross right after high school. The two were married in 1954. They made their first home in the Lake City area, then moved to Mountlake Terrace where they raised their family. They lived in various other locations in Washington until settling in Arlington. Bev worked the majority of her life as a legal secretary. Most of her career was working for Judge Jerome Farris at the Court of Appeals in Seattle, a job of which she was very proud; and he treated her like family. They remained in contact throughout her lifetime. In her later years she also worked for the Attorney General's office in Olympia.
Some of the things Bev truly enjoyed were shopping, bingo, going out for coffee, and church luncheons. Also Chocolate! Even though she was diabetic, it was almost impossible to keep her from that. Her career had served her well, and she enjoyed staying organized on her computer and passed on her wonderful "list-making skills" to her family. Taking care of her family was always at the top of her list, and she remained busy in her younger days raising five kids. Like her husband, she loved the ocean and their home they once had at Lake Cushman. What always remained most important was family and Jesus, and that shined through in her very generous, compassionate, and caring personality. Her sense of humor remained with her even in her very last days.
She was blessed to be married to the love of her life for 62 years. Since Jerry passed away in 2016, she has been so looking forward to reunion with him and with her son Jerry Jr. who had passed in 1994. What a wonderful reunion that was on November 16, 2017!
Beverly is survived by her four daughters, Karen Sundin, Laurie Ross, Sandra Taylor (Lyle) and Stacy Larson. She had 11 grandchildren Kristin (Dirk), Cori, Erik (Brandy), Jordan (Kaje), Kelly, Josh (Myla), Nolan, Kiley, Marisa, Heather (Steve) and Nathan. She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren. Sister, Hilda Blaikie. Also, many other loved family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerrold Mansfield Ross, son Jerrold Mansfield Ross, Jr., father Joseph Charles Bennett, her mother Hilda Olivia Nikkari, her brothers Joseph Bennett, Edward Bennett, Raymond Bennett and her sister Lorraine Bristow.
Her final resting place is Camelia Garden, Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, Washington.
