Virgil Bane, age 78, of Lebanon, Tennessee, died Sunday afternoon, December 31, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1939 in Statesville, Tennessee, the son of the late Ardle and Lottie Jaco Bane. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Williamson and brothers, Goble and Alton Bane. He was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church and retired from TRW Ross Gear after 36 years of service. Virgil is survived by Myra Bane; son, Richard Bane and his wife, Wisa; daughter, Melissa Robinson and her husband, Andy and children, Drew, Carrie and Peyton Robinson, all of Lebanon, TN; brother, Robert Bane of Watertown; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Hunter Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Tramel officiating. Visitation will be at 10 AM until service time on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be at Jennings Cemetery in Statesville, TN.
