Jerry Paul Wade, age 73, of Rowlett, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. Born in St. Louis, MO, to Jessie and Lorraine Wade, he lived his entire life in and around the Dallas area. Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years: Catherine; son: Jon Wade and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Hunter Wade and Chloe Wade; brother: Gene Morrison and wife Melanie; niece: Kellie Chandler and husband Clint; and his nephew: Eric Morrison and wife Lori. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and faithful friend to all who knew him. Jerry was dedicated and worked hard all the way until his passing at NTT-Data. He enjoyed spending time with family, seeing his grandchildren and traveling. His hobbies included playing golf and reading. Jerry loved to learn about new things and was always thirsty for knowledge and sought to gain as much knowledge as he could to better himself. He loved sports; both playing and watching, and his favorite sports included football, basketball and baseball. Jerry served early in his life in the United States Army and in the Army Reserves where he earned a sharpshooter rifle status. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, always giving of himself to others.
