Sharon Louise McDaniel, 69, of Bucyrus, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born June 24, 1948 to Robert and Dortha (Walters) Motter, was raised in Wharton and graduated from Riverdale High School. Sharon was set up on a blind date with John F. McDaniel and following a brief courtship, the two married on June 2, 1968.

Sharon raised her family and also had a positive impact on many young lives by assisting as a teacher's aide at Peniel Academy and Harvest Temple. She later received her Associates Degree from Terra Tech and was proud of this accomplishment. Sharon was a talented seamstress and in addition to creating gifts for many, she used her talent by working at various sewing shops and was lastly employed at Fairborn USA in Upper Sandusky; just recently retiring.

Sharon loved her Lord and literally sang His praise in the various churches including Lemert UMC, Pilgrim Holiness, Harvest Temple Baptist Church and Beech Grove Wesleyan Church. As well as singing in choirs, she served as a Sunday School secretary, was active in camp meetings, and enjoyed sharing her time in senior homes and assisting with prison ministries.

Sharon days always began with her devotions which allowed her to be a loving wife, mother and caregiver to anyone in need.
