Melvin McDonald, age 87 of Wentworth, MO died on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at his home in Wentworth, MO.

Mr. McDonald was born in Wentworth, MO on Wednesday, October 08, 1930. He was the son of Roy and Lena (Umber) McDonald. Mr. McDonald attended the First Baptist Church in Wentworth, MO and served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked in road construction.

Surviving are the following: his two sons, Randy McDonald of Mount Vernon, MO and
Melvin McDonald of Wentworth, MO; three daughters, Diane West of Independence, MO, Kim McDonald of Lexington, MO, and Tammy Tucker of Monett, MO; one sister, Mary Louise Stephens of Wentworth, MO; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Hutchinson, and one brother, Stanley.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, January 04, 2018, from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Friday, January 05, 2018, at 10:00 AM with Brother Joseph Lietz officiating. Burial will follow at Sarcoxie Cemetery in Sarcoxie, Mo.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City, MO.
