Other Information:
Uncle Bloss, as our side of the family called him, was married to my aunt, Florene "Flo" Ford on January 20, 1951 in Cullman County. They had one child together, Leroy "Roy" Harper Jr. Bloss and Flo divorced in about 1965. He married his second wife, Buna I Mayhall Click in August of 1967 in Jefferson County, Alabama. He and Buna didn't have children together. Buna did have a son, Ray Click and Ray's son, Major Click was as close as any Grandchild could have ever been to Bloss. Leroy Jr. never had any children and passed away in July 2012. Bloss found himself without much work in 1972 and his ex-brother-in-law, Bill Cairns was just starting a new company called Signco Sales and Service which later became Sign Builders, Inc. Bill hired Bloss as a sheet metal man and he worked along side Bill and Bill's Uncle John Riley Roberts. Part of their job duties in the early years was picking up me and my sisters from school or keeping us after school. Bloss continued to work for Sign Builders until he retired in 2009. All of Flo's sisters, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews still call him Uncle Bloss. He will be greatly missed.
