Julia M. Sanders, age 79 of Bostic, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Hospice of The Carolina Foothills. She was born June 17, 1938 in Macon County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Sherman and Sissie Greene Messer. Julia was a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired as a Belk's Associate at the Tri-City Mall where she worked for many years. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Boyd Eugene McGaha as well as her second husband, George Emanuel Sanders in 2003, a brother, Joe Messer and sisters, Flonnie Stacey and Margie Marr. A sister, Mary Welch of Gastonia. A Celebration of Life service will be held at two o'clock on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Laflin officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2PM Wednesday in the Sanctuary of Concord Baptist Church prior to the service.
