BURLINGTON, VT. - Longtime Burlingtonian Elizabeth "Liz" Mary (Fitzpatrick) Cannon, passed away on Saturday, December 30th 2017 at her home.
Liz was a proud Irish Catholic born on November 28th, 1920 to Thomas and Mary (Malloy) Fitzpatrick. She was the youngest of five children.
Her faith and heritage shaped her life. She was educated within the Catholic schools of Burlington, Vt.
Liz graduated from Cathedral High School in 1939.
She went on to Trinity College graduating with a degree in Economics in 1943.
She met her future husband; Dr. Martin J. Cannon while in college. They married in September of 1945 and had eleven children together. They were married for 51 years.
Liz kept busy raising her children, sewing their clothes, and baking bread.
Liz was predeceased by her husband; Dr. Martin J. Cannon on May 31st 1997, one son; Brian Patrick Cannon on August 30th 2013, and one granddaughter; Lizzie in 2006.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 4th 2018 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Catholic Church on 1251 North Avenue in Burlington.
