Ruth S. May, 99, of Watertown, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at noon at St Mark's Lutheran Church in Richwood with the Rev. Clint Burow officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Memorials are suggested to St Mark's Lutheran Church in Richwood or to the charity of one's choice. The Hafemeister Funeral and Cremation Service of Watertown are serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.

Ruth Sophia Yohn was born on July 20, 1915 in Watertown, the daughter of Edward and Elsie (Schultz) Yohn. She was a 1933 graduate of Watertown High School. She worked in the Shoe Factory in Watertown and Milwaukee. In 1935, she was married to Edwin Riebe. They had one daughter, Betty Riebe. Edwin preceded her in death in September of 1945. On November 27, 1947, she was married to Walter C. May at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Richwood. They had two sons, Kenneth and Wayne May. Walter preceded her in death on April 13, 2004. Ruth was a homemaker and a farm assistant. Ruth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Richwood.

Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth (Darlene Wiedenfeld) May of Reeseville, and Wayne (JoAnn Eberle) May of Watertown; a daughter, Betty Riebe- Kastenschmidt of Kingston; ten grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca (Wade) Jones, Scott (Jennifer) May, Andrew (Bernadette) May, Jennifer France, Rachel (Urs) Brechbuehler, Julie (Mark) Klusken, Pauline (fiancé- Brandon Held) May, Ruth (Dave) Schwandt, Karl (Nancy) Kastenschmidt, and Edith (Shane) Martwick; sixteen great grandchildren, a sister Lorraine Marks of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Rev. David Kastenschmidt; a brother, Edward Yohn, Jr.; two sisters, Margaret Eckhart and Ethel Weaver.
