Mr. Jack Ryan, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, December 30, 2017, in the comfort of his home at the age of 70. He was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on Tuesday, February 25, 1947 the son of Andrew J. Ryan, Jr. and Mercedes (Thennes) Ryan.

Jack was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. He owned and operated Ryan’s grocery for many years, and was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Wynne. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed going to horse races. He loved his store and visiting with his customers.

Mr. Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mercedes Ryan.

He is survived by four brothers, Terry Ryan of Walnut Ridge, Tim Ryan of Walnut Ridge, Mark Ryan of Rogers, and Maurice Ryan of Spingdale; four sisters, Sharon Askins of North Carolina, Mary Ryan of Little Rock, Marie Ryan of Little Rock, and June Duckworth of Walnut Ridge; his dedicated employees and caregivers, David Hess, Charline Yarbrough, Lauren Armstrong, Terri Revelle, Nikki Grant, Hunter Huggins, Rodney Hess, David Kyle, Dick Bonady, Michael Armstrong, Jeannie Pentecost, Samantha Mitchell, Ashley Steward, Brent Steward, Pat Hess, and Patricia Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced upon completion.

Honorary pallbearers are Dick Bonady, David Hess, Brent Steward, Ronnie Hess, Hunter Huggins, and David Kyle.
