It is with great sadness that the family of Julia M. Garner, of Dahlonega, announces the passing of our precious sister, beloved wife and mother on December 30, 2017, at the age of 65 in Gainesville, GA. Julia will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Nubbin Garner of 31 years, her sons Henry Garner and Benjamin Garner, her sisters Candy Evans and Lisa Walker and her brother Bob Moseley; her brothers in law Bill Evans and Billy Walker, daughter in law Chelsea Garner; son in law Roy Charlton; her nieces Mary Brenna Moseley, Annabeth Evans, Jillian and Caroline Walker, and her nephew Clay Moseley. Julia will be forever remembered by her daughters Missi Charlton and Mindy Garner. Julia will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Roy and Ava Charlton, Abbie and Kayla Grace Cope.

In 1973 Julia began her impressive career in nursing graduating from Georgia State University with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She then graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After that Julia continued her education and received her Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University. Julia volunteered at the free clinic in Dahlonega, GA and was nominated by March of Dimes of Georgia for Nurse of the Year.
