John L. Balboni, 79, of Pine Grove St, died Monday in Wesson Memorial Hospital. Mr. Balboni was born in Alberone Di Cento, Province of Ferrara, Italy 15 June 1885, a son of Luigi and Marie Balboni, and came to Norwood in 1911 and to this city in 1924. He was a self-employed real estate agent before retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He leaves his wife, Ines (Ghisellini); four sons, Leo L. of Agawam, John C. of Wilbraham, Henry F. and Francis H., both of Turners Falls; four daughters, Valeda Odum in Florida, Mrs. Lena Lee of Albany, NY, Mrs Mary Hapcook and Mr. Anita Williams, both of this city; a brother, Ernesto, in Italy; and 18 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at George Tazzini and Son funeral home Thursday with a mass of requiem in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
