Roy David Holt, age 58, of Sanford, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Duke Hospital in Durham.
He was born in Lee County, on July 8, 1959, to Kadel Jones Holt and the late John David Holt. Mr. Holt was employed by Lee County School System as a plumber.
Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, Jamie Hall Holt of the home; his mother Kadel Jones Holt of Sanford; two daughters, Rebecca Holt Hawkins and husband Barry of Kinston and Sarah Holt Morrison and husband Michael of Cameron; a brother Johnny Holt and wife Lynne of Sanford; two sisters Amy Holt Dycus and husband Charles of Sanford and Mandy Holt Kelly and husband Casey of Selma; four grandchildren, Steven David Morrison, Eliza Ann Hawkins, Michael Edward Morrison, and William Henry Hawkins.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan 1, 2018, 2PM at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Jarrod Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
