Robert Campbell Tabor, Sr., age 84, of Loving Hands Nursing Home on Airport Road, Bluefield, WV died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the nursing home.

Born on October 12, 1933 in Falls Mills, VA, he was a son of the late Diamond Campbell and Pearl Lucille Gilpin Tabor. He had lived in Bluefield most of his life and was retired as a conductor from the Norfolk Southern Railroad with 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and was a 50 year member of the Bluefield Masonic Lodge AF&AM #85 as well as the Bluefield Shrine Club. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Elizabeth Costango Tabor; brother, Diamond Claytor Tabor; and sisters, Mary Lee Tabor Brooks and Betty Ann Wohner.

Funeral services will bel held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum in Princeton where Military Graveside Honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Masonic Graveside Rites will also be performed by the Bluefield Masonic Lodge #85. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM prior to the service.
