Nora Marie Miller Rose was born on April 23, 1943 in Georgetown, Texas to Frank and Elnora (Sedwick) Miller. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Gay Hill Baptist Church, now Calvary Hill. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

Nora attended Marshall Carver Schools and later attended Texas Southern University in Houston. She completed the Georgetown Hospital Nursing course and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). She began her career at Georgetown Hospital in 1967 and remained there until she retired in 2007.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister Ella Hill, three brothers Samuel Miller, Austin Miller, and Bruce Miller, Sr.

Nora leaves to cherish her memory, her five children: Eurick "Ricky" Rose, Charles "Charlie" Rose, Zelda "Vet" Rose, Valicia "Molly" Rose, and Trisca Elliott (husband, Danny) all of Georgetown, Texas. She also leaves 9 grandchildren: Preston, Brandon, Markhas, Stevie, Krisean, Kenneth, Morgan, McKenzie, and Madison; 8 great-grandchildren: Preston, Jordin, Markhas, Mackayla, Braylon, Braesyn, Braelyn and Brooklyn; 5 great great grandchildren: Preston, Jaxon, Juels, John Preston, and Emma. She also leaves to mourn 2 sisters: Birdie Shanklin and Bessie Langdon; 3 brothers: Harvey Miller of San Marcos, Texas, James Miller of Hillsboro, Texas and Johnnie "Mac" (wife, Sharon) Miller of Georgetown, Texas. Also mourning her memory is her special friend and sister, Cheryl Harrison.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rocky Hollow Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
